Access control determines who opens a door and records this. Detection and monitoring complement this: a LiDAR sensor sees who enters a zone, even where there is no door. IoT sensors report whether a door has been open for too long, what the climate in a room is, and where an asset is located. Notifications reach the right person, without anyone having to look.
